So how do you stay true to yourself when things feel a little sticky?

‘Branding’ can have a strange connotation to it. However staying true to the brand of YOU and your business makes everything from your marketing to your services feel more authentic and true.

Getting started with your brand…

  1. What are your brand’s core values and mission statement?

    1. In order to come from an authentic place, your brand needs to uphold authenticity with its values and mission. What words embody and represent your brand? As you come up with your list, start to notice if these values match with your services and business. If you have employees, does your team match these values in their actions? Do you live by these values personally? Use these core values to also come up with your mission statement. Keep in mind your who, how, and what. Determine (as specifically as possible) WHO you are trying to serve. HOW are you going to make them feel? And WHAT are you going to do to change their life? This will become your spiritual branding that connects you to a deeper why in everything you do for your business.

  2. Define the pillars of your business.

    1. Pillars of your business are the foundation of your service. It is not only how you grow your business financially, but what are the main focuses of your gifts and talents. As a yoga teacher for example, your pillars might be teaching, facilitation, and retreats. These 3 pillars allow you to stay true to your core values and mission statement while finding success financially and professionally. This may seem obvious, however defining these pillars will allow give you a great template for financial goal setting and see what is working in your business and what may need some extra love and attention.

  3. Visualize and Manifest your goals

    1. Connect with your business and yourself in a deeper way. Visualize where you see yourself and your business going. Build a mindset full of abundance rather than desperation. When you start to create financial goals, have your emotional destination in mind as to what this income will provide you and your business. See yourself at the finish line and all the people that you are affecting with your services and/or products. Keeping the bigger picture in your front view allows the universe to work with you. The more specific you are with your visions, the more your energy will attract what you need!

  4. Understand your avatar’s emotional destination

    1. Your avatar is your ideal client. You are helping your avatar move from point A to point B. Your client is in a particular place BEFORE they work with you. It’s important for you to understand where they want to go so that you also get to know your avatar AFTER they work with you. This transformation is what your core values and mission statement are all about. Understand your avatar from a psychological standpoint. Know their paint points and obstacles, as well as their needs and desires. How do they want to FEEL? You are there to help them get to that emotional destination and core desired feeling.

  5. Pick your colors, textures, fonts, logo

    1. This is the fun part! Your brand is not just how you show up and what you do, but everything from your look to your website colors have an affect on representing your authentic brand. Create a Pinterest board with color themes, textures, shapes, fonts, logos…you name it! This will help you with continuity on things like your website, social media, business cards, flyers.. you name it! All authentic to YOU. Keep your avatar/ideal client as well as your mission statement in mind.

  6. Pick your platform for displaying your brand

    1. How do you want to share your authentic truth? Is it on social media? Website? Live workshops? Explore where your avatar is and where you can support them. Where can you provide value and education while supporting your business? What feels GOOD in your heart to share your voice?
